Multifuncitonal User Hooks for ABB PickMaster™ 3
There are two types of user hooks: the first one is used to adjust positions determined by a vision system, the second one is used to generate the positions.
Lanter IT Solutions GmbH developed these two user hooks, which are available for download. The main feature of both is that they provide a connection to the signals of ABB IRC5 robot controllers. Thus, it is possible to influence the positions either from a parent control or with RAPID.
Often used functions which are not covered by the RIS interface of ABB PickMasterTM have been implemented in both cases.
PositionGenerator
With this hook, you can change the positions detected by a vision system. The values are read from the robot controller. The following functions are implemented:
- Number of positions to be generated
- Item is OK
- Gaps between the positions
- Positions-Offsets (X, Y, Z, as well as angle Rx, Ry, Rz)
PositionAdjuster
With this hook, you can change the positions detected by a vision system. The values are read from the robot controller. The following functions are implemented:
- Assign an item number
- Item is OK
- Positions-Offsets (X, Y, Z, as well as angle Rx, Ry, Rz)
Licensing
Software developed by Lanter IT Solutions GmbH offers an added value. It allows, for example, a simpler system configuration or reduces the programming. For software which is used in industrial environments to work, as trouble-free as possible, a considerable development and test effort is required.
Therefore, these products are subject to licensing.
There are various licensing models available:
- Limited trial license (demo), which after two hours no longer adapts or generates positions.
- Unlimited full version, without the possibility of update.
- Full version (annual subscription). The supscription includes upgrading to future versions and is renewed annually.
Note: No license is required to get an impression or for initial tests. Only restriction: No positions are adapted or generated.
